EXCELLENCE IN EVERYTHING
Mission Statement: St Ronan’s College will nurture a love of learning by recognising and developing the talents of all, in a community where everyone is encouraged and supported to be their best.
At St Ronan’s, we are committed to outstanding, high quality educational provision, excellent pastoral care, and an extensive range of extra-curricular activities supporting the fulfilment of the gifts, talents and skills of all St Ronan’s College students. Built on strong principles, St Ronan’s College is constantly evolving, and the school’s leadership team has a clear vision for the future:
- Teaching and learning are at the heart of everything we do
- Promoting pupil well-being intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially
- Each and every one of our students is viewed as an individual with a unique range of abilities, qualities, talents and aspirations for the future
- Equipping students for future employment opportunities through further education, vocational and occupational training
The new facilities and campus currently planned for the College represent the largest single school project undertaken by the Department of Education.
The level of investment, similar to the new Craigavon South Lakes Leisure Centre, will create a bespoke College campus with specialist accommodation tailored to meet the needs and interests, both curricular and extra-curricular, of all pupils. To support this investment, the Passing the Flame campaign is inviting our parents, alumni and wider school community to support three priorities:
Launch a Centre of Excellence for digital learning and a Hub of Innovation for the teaching and learning of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects
With state-of-the-art sporting facilities, aspire to achieve sporting excellence
Provide a school environment where creativity within music, arts and drama can flourish
The new school campus and facilities will provide unique opportunities for the school and the wider school community to grow together. As an all-ability College, we are proud of the wide range of careers that our former pupils have pursued and are excelling in as they contribute to and support our local, national and global communities.
The school leadership team’s vision for St Ronan’s College includes “pupils at the heart of the school and a school at the heart of the community”.
The new state-of-the-art school campus and facilities will be open after school hours to meet the needs of parents, local clubs, community groups and other members of our wider school community.
